A Swiss botanist and physician, Dr. Paracelsus was the first person to discover this herb that was later brought forward in the later years. There are other great physicians who have written about bitters, how to use them and the health benefits Swedish bitters. They include Maria Treben and Dr. Claus Samset, who have for long advocated for this powerful herb.

The herbs are very bitter and not tasteful to the mouth but even, so they have great health benefits. The ingredients used to make it include rhubarb, angelica, myrrh, flowering ash, senna leaves as well as other additional herbs that aid in making human health great. Bitters also aid in regulating the production of insulin in the pancreas. It is imperative since it helps in preventing spikes of the blood sugar level that can cause chance in energy levels and moods. Additionally, it aids in stabilizing the level of sugar in the blood hence slowing down Candida overgrowth. Of most importance is their role in promoting the function of the liver. It stimulates bile production that aids to metabolize and promote the smooth elimination of fats. The liver is also prepared to process nutrients more efficiently.
